The British craft beer scene has been going through a very exciting couple of years and has resulted in some fantastic brews from many regions and increased choice in bars and off-licences. We're very excited to introduce Wingtip beers and their first craft brew, The Captain, which is already available to drink in a few select establishments - tweet us to find a bar nearest to you!
The Wingtip Story
One night, early 2015, down their local-pub in Shoreham-By-Sea, Simon Tripp and his ‘old- man’ Chris, were left in a state of ale-infused oblivion when they got chatting and dreaming about planes and brewing. Chris couldn’t stop talking about his old days at (a now defunct Aerospace Simulator Company in Lancing) and well Simon loved his job selling specialty beer in central London.
So they took some time-out to do a bit of plane-spotting and experiment with a great many brew-kits. The rest is a distant vapour trail...
Their love for everything art deco as well as aviation and beer has led them to start-up Wingtip Brewing Co, with their good friends Adam and Alex at Andwells Brewery in Hampshire.

The Captain
Wingtip's first brew is a Pilsner using Saaz and Tettnang hops and matured for 5 weeks in tank. The Captain is characterised by a floral hop aroma, with distinctive grassy notes, and balanced beautifully by a clean, crisp finish and pleasant lingering bitterness.
This craft pilsner is 4.5% ABV and available in 355ml bottles. Read more about The Captain Pilsner here or contact us to check UK wholesalers.
