Ingredients
- Old Dominion Black Cherry Soda – 355ml bottle
- Trifle Sponge Fingers - 2 boxes
- Mascarpone Cheese, 400g
- Caster Sugar, 50g (more optional, depending on how sweet the tooth!)
- Cocoa Powder, 1-2 tablespoons
- Cherries, de-stoned (optional)
Directions
Lay the trifle sponge fingers at the bottle of the lasagne style dish in one layer and without gaps. Place the mascarpone cheese and caster sugar in a bowl and whisk together until blended and the cheese is thick and creamy. Then smear this over the top of the black cherry trifle fingers. Use the back of a fork to give an even surface. Finally, using the sieve, evenly dust the cocoa powder all over the top of the mascarpone.
